Community support goes far beyond business. It shows up in the organizations we stand behind, the causes we rally around, and the people we choose to help.
On May 15th, the Rotary Club of Babcock Ranch hosted its annual Golf Open, bringing together local businesses, residents, and community supporters for a day focused on giving back and making a meaningful impact throughout Southwest Florida.
This year’s event helped support several important causes, including:
- Scholarships for students at Babcock High School
As Babcock Ranch continues to grow, so do the opportunities available to local students pursuing higher education, trade schools, certifications, and career development. Community-supported scholarships help remove financial barriers and encourage students to continue chasing their goals after graduation. - Josh the Otter drowning prevention education
This nationally recognized drowning prevention program focused on teaching young children critical water safety skills. In a Florida community where pools, lakes, and waterways are part of everyday life, water safety education remains incredibly important for families. Supporting organizations that help educate children on drowning prevention is another example of how local events can create long-term impact far beyond a single day. - ACT Abuse, Inc., serving victims of domestic violence
This advocacy organization that provides safety, shelter, and support services for victims of domestic violence. Their work serves individuals and families throughout Southwest Florida by offering emergency shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy services for those escaping abusive situations. By including organizations like ACT Abuse, Inc. as beneficiaries, the Golf Open demonstrated how community events can help support not only local recreation and networking, but also real-life causes that provide protection, healing, and hope for vulnerable individuals and families.
The event was another example of how Babcock Ranch businesses continue investing back into both the local community and organizations making a difference beyond neighborhood lines.
Babcock Grown Businesses Showing Up for the Community
Several Babcock Grown businesses proudly supported the event, continuing the growing culture of local businesses giving back through sponsorships, participation, and community involvement.
Businesses supporting the Rotary Club of Babcock Ranch Golf Open included:
These resident-owned businesses represent more than the services they provide. They represent neighbors supporting neighbors and businesses using their success to help strengthen the community around them.
The Rotary Club of Babcock Ranch Hosted More Than a Golf Tournament
While the day included golf, networking, and community connection, the true purpose of the event was much bigger. It was about local people coming together to create opportunities for students, improve safety education for children, and support organizations helping families through difficult circumstances.
That spirit of giving back continues to become part of the culture growing within Babcock Ranch. From school fundraisers to nonprofit events, resident-owned businesses are increasingly finding ways to use their platforms and success to support the greater good of the community.
This is What Babcock Grown Is All About
At its core, Babcock Grown exists to highlight the businesses built by the people who live here — the neighbors who are not only running local companies, but also coaching our community teams, volunteering within our neighborhoods, supporting local students, sponsoring resident events, and giving back whenever possible to where we live.
The Rotary Club of Babcock Ranch Golf Open was another strong example of that mission in action.
Local businesses supporting local causes.
Neighbors investing in neighbors.
And a growing community continuing to show up for the people who need it most.
Because supporting the community is about far more than business.
It’s about building the kind of hometown people are proud to be part of.
