In 1997, the Raake family bought a modest laminate countertop fabrication shop in Indiana. Over the next 26 years, their energy and dedication turned it into a thriving kitchen and bath business that offered cabinets, countertops, sinks, faucets, millwork, hardware, showers, and more. By adapting to changing trends and meeting customer needs, they maintained continuous success, all while raising three wonderful sons. Rich holds a Construction Management degree from Purdue University, while Myra, an alumna of Indiana University, possesses a talent for interior design and organization.

With their extensive backgrounds in home building and design, they have successfully constructed and remodeled a variety of homes. Rich’s experience as a homebuilder and superintendent provides invaluable insights into the industry, and Myra’s strong emphasis on functionality elevates their projects. In 2024 Rich and Myra eagerly embraced the empty-nest phase and sold their original business and relocated to the innovative community of Babcock Ranch, Florida.

They launched Fresh Start Cabinet Works LLC to continue their passion for creating beautiful functional spaces. Beyond their careers, they enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, reading, sailing, and savoring bourbon while snuggling with their two adorable Goldendoodles.
